Hey everyone, has anyone had a door lock that actuates slower than the rest? Thanks.

That’s a sign the lock actuator is on the way out. It’s a common problem with BMWs.

At a good indy probably between $250 - $500. On my E90 I had both rear window lift regulators replaced at the dealer at about $500 each time.

I still have my CPO warranty this year. I just checked my CPO agreement and it doesn't say anything about electronics not being covered. So, I'll give it a try and see if they cover it.

CPO will definitely cover it. No question.

I had mine covered under CPO, but it was to the point where it wouldn't open with the handle sometimes. Where you pull the handle and the lock goes up but immediately goes back down. It is common, i just showed a video to the SA. You can probably find some on youtube.

That also happened to me when I pulled the handle! But, hasn't happened since, it's just really sluggish. Sometimes it moves really slow.

You should be fine with CPO warranty. They were able to test the actuator and confirm it was the issue so they replaced it. For intermittent problems it sometimes helps to bring them a video as proof, but that really just depends on the dealer.

I have a video but it does it all the time anymore.
