How's the ride/handling on the H&R's?

Guys, how has the ride/handling changed since you install your H&R Sport Springs? Do you guys notice the rebound a bit dead? Or does it still feel like the suspension is working in optimal condition like stock?

Installed H & R Sports (there is a race version as well) - With my EDC off, I feel that there is less roll, and less rebound. Wiith EDC, its fantastic and the ride is firmer/harder. Always love H & Rs

Improved handling.. hmm I'm just afraid the handling might be worse

Car feels closest to factory ride than on other cars that I've installed only lowering springs. The car retains it's handling with the added benefit of decreased roll as Speedtrap stated since the springs follow the linear design of the stock pieces. I was actually surprised H&R didn't use a more increased rate. The pros are prolonged shock life and ride comfort but at a cost of ground clearance under compression. The felt covered pieces under the front bumper are getting frayed from scraping. I don't have problems with bouncing and it even smoothed out that pogo effect I had on deep compressions.

ive seen both the eibach's and h and r's and the eibach's are def. a bit smoother. My friend just installed the eibach's and his ride is exactly like factory only less roll and slightly lower.

The thing I don't like about the Eibach springs is that one side is progressive. I can't remember if it's the front or back.

I'm sure there are a good amount of folks with both setups in your area. Just set up a drive so you can feel them for yourself.

I've heard great things about H&R springs on the new M3s. I would highly recommend it. If you want to go above and beyond, you can always go with the KW V3 coilovers!

Springs are a DIY if you've done your fair share of wrenching. The only special tools required are MacPherson strut type spring compressors which you should be able to rent for free. Search for the DIY in the e90post section. Otherwise, I'd expect about 2.5 hours of labor.

I've had no problems so far. Feels planted and handles great...it would be subjective to state if the handling is better or the same, but it hugs corners unbelieveably. I do not feel it is "bouncy", but the most important test it passed= the wife test. She falls asleep in the car all the time without a complaint, so that is the most important test. Perfect stance btw....always kinda bothered me that the M3 sat a bit tall and the 335's have a better stock stance...now it looks perfect.

My experience was that at high speeds the car feels a little less stable, kinda hovering over the road, not as precise as with the stocks. I dont know if that is for real or just my imagination. noticed it after i took her to the track. First with the stock springs and 3 days later with the H&Rs and now i wish i changed to coilovers.
But it looks great though i have to give them that.

I did it when they were installed and then again 4 weeks later. It could be that my expectations were too high.
Thanks for the advise though.

ride is good with the H&Rs. However, I too was surprised that H&R didn't make these springs stiffer. they feel maybe only about 15% stiffer than stock. I would have actually liked a stiffer spring. it feels too soft over speed bumps and driveways. I had H&Rs on my '03 Mini S, and those were pretty stiff.

but back to the M, i guess it's the perfect balance between looks, handling, and ride
