Remote Start Install Complete on 2008 E92

I have just completed installing a Remote Start and alarm system on a 2008 335XI coupe it could be done on all E9X cars from a 05 to 09. The work was done by Mobile Electronics of NY www.meofny.com NO MORE 7-8MIN warmup in the morning or on the way home. I installed the CompuStar CM5000 with two way pager and alarm. For this setup expect to pay $800.

Very bad idea to let your car idle like that...

Plus say goodbye to, at least, the electrical part of your warranty.

I know some people say its bad to idle the car, but when I start the car it takes two to three minutes till the RPM's stabilize and it takes about 6-7 minutes till the knocking noise disapeares. The warranty is a joke I hear and read stories all day of people who have problems with car and have no mods, the dealer will find the most riduculous story to avoid fixing the car under warranty. Plus I allready put a K40 radar plus the full Lumma Design kit, reupholstered the interior, and I plan to updrade the front brakes to the big brake Brembo kit, change the down pipes and built a high end stereo system.

Ur missing one important detail...is yours a manual or auto?

Most shops will not do a remote start on manual car for safety regulation...i had it done back then on my Honda and it was a stick...had to find a special shop that does it..Best Buy wouldn't do it, pussies

So how does the remote start setup works? I mean do you have to put a OEM remote inside the car somewhere? Assuming that's a yes, it would be hidden somewhere safe, but what if the battery dies out, do you know how and where to get it out? Also, is this the whole alarm system or just the remote start part?
I'm guessing you will need to use a different remote, right?

Hah of course you can get a remote start on your car. My parents own a car electronics store and my dad works on BMWs on a weekly basis. Although BMWs, and all cars in general are having more and more electronics in them they have become more of a pain in the ass.

He does Manual Trans. cars too but of course they are more expensive due to having to hook it up so it checks if the car is in gear, and obviously will refuse to start if it is.

About giving up a key, I'm not 100% sure but I think for BMW (I know we have them for many cars but not sure specifically which ones) that emulate the key so you won't have to give up a key during the install to be placed in the car, but don't hold me on that. I know that it depends on the make and model of the car some people come and have to give up a key some need the part and some need neither altough for BMW's you'll def. need the part or key.

Also we only sell DEI alarms/starters and you guys that say you wouldn't let your car idle like that make me laugh.

Also your car's interior looks really nice.
