Drivers door a bit hard to close

Has anyone had a minor issue closing the driver door?
I feel as if I have to put some extra effort to do so that I don’t find in any of my other cars nor previous 230i. I have found myself driving off with the door not fully latched a couple of times already

LOL At the beginning when I first had the car, I had that issue and I had to put extra effort. Now after 3 months of ownership, I don't have that issue and I don't even think about it.

Not hard to close, per se, but my driver's side door feels like it's misaligned on the first closing attempt when closing from inside. It shuts just fine but feels weird. Almost like a seat belt got caught in the door.

Anyone else?

I definitely need more force to shut the door on my m2c than on my m235. Got used to it after a few weeks.

OP - Given your BMW car history I am surprised because when I bought my F10 years ago, no one could close the door the first time. Heavy, solid door. Same with the Audi Q7 that i have, its like a tank door. So moving to the F87 wasn't a huge change as i was already used to closing it hard. Just make sure that when you figure out the right force, that it is actually closing like its supposed to...

I found my passenger door was a little harder to close the first couple months, but now it seems to close the same as the drivers door. This reminds me to ask if anyone has had a hard to close hood? Usually with BMW’s the hood can be dropped from 6” or so and it will catch. With the M2C I need to give it a good slam otherwise it does not latch completely on the drivers side. Granted, I have only opened the hood a few times.

Yes on the CS, no on my previous 2018 C. I think they may have changed something on later models? I'm used to it now though.

I had the same issue at first. I hate slamming doors but now that I get used to the M2CS, I end up slamming my truck and wife's car doors now. Lol

Yes, I definitely felt the same when I first took the m2 comp home.

I think I just got use to closing the door a little bit harder now

That’s what threw me off, my CS and 230i (and previous F80) were all new and didn’t feel like the M2. If anything Id say it almost feels as if the door is a bit heavier than the other cars maybe?

On a side note, the biggest wake up call was driving the 230i to the dealer to trade in and pick up the M2 and hit the brakes the first time lol, I was like WHOLY C*{+#
