Custom Dashcam install question
I've recently got a hold of this dashcam:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07DLG9GFG/ Only problem is it uses a cigarette lighter for power. I'd like to hard wire this to the car so when the accessories is on the camera will also turn on. Is there a wire I can easily tap into for that power? |

I saw a few posts of people routing it to the trunk but preferred to use the rear outlet instead. You could always get a replacement cable if yours isn't long enough.

I routed my hard wires across the top of the windshield, across the top of the passenger door, down the backside of the door and along the side of the rear seats to the trunk. All the wiring is tucked and hidden. Clean install to the fuse box in the trunk. Lmk if you have any questions or need fuse tap info. I installed BlackVue dash cam with the "power magic pro" kit they sell.

Does the 2er not have a 12V socket in the passenger footwell?
My 2017 M140i has this, and its where my cam is wired to. May have been part of a storage package tho. |

3-4 months typically.
I bought mine in 2018 and it took 3.5 months from ordering to getting the keys in my hands.
