No more speeding unnecessarily

These cars are addicting to just put petal to the metal but i was gunning it and person didnt see blind spot and coming over to my lane and i put brakes and honked. Was some young teenage driver. I learned my lesson and almost had a big accident. Probally would be his fault even if I sped as witnesses probally didnt even pay attention . Didnt speed too much when that happened too.I was so suprised no scratch was on it as it seemed literally inches whoa. Ill drive extra careful now as this is uncalled for

Anyone else had lessons like this and didnt get anything damaged (people or car) and realize what could have happened and change ways? But its hard not to speed in this car but i will stop

I’ve been speeding unnecessarily since I was 16, I’m now 66.

It’s appropriate speed for the conditions, including traffic conditions, that’s what’s required.

- sounds like you reacted appropriately. Lesson is: Assume all drivers aren’t paying attention and are going to change into your lane without signaling. I only drive in the fast lane and usually stay 10-15 above what traffic is doing and road is clear ahead. Fast enough to not stay in someone’s blind spot and slow enough to hit the brakes or ride the shoulder if there is a bad or erratic driver who enters my lane unexpectedly. . And no, I don’t weave through traffic. I also always try to stay on a section of road away from groups of cars all packed together. That’s when accidents happen because they are usually not paying attention.

Buy a good radar detector, I have a custom installed Escort in my E92 M3 (VA its illegal to have one) and you can't notice its there. Also use waze with Apple car play or Android auto and you should be good to go. On top of being a defensive driver you should be good 99% of the time but stay safe out there!

It doesn't but if he wants to speed it will help his wallet.

Share the same sentiment. It's too easy and way too much fun not to be doing it in these vehicles.

My brother from another mother :-)

As long as it's safe long may speed rule. Of course bearing in mind avoiding the glare of local law enforcement, or those bloody vans with laser cams in :-/

God forbid also average speed cameras become predominant in the US as they appear to be encroaching on normal roads now in UK :-/

Speed is great when it is safe. Driving at a significant speed differential to the traffic around you will ultimately result in a crash one day.

There is a right time to speed. Flooring it and passing other cars one lane over is not.
