Shadow line trim fading
Seems like my shadow line trim on the door is fading. Nowhere else on the car. It's a bit hard to see. But has it happened to anyone else. I can see the metal underneath!

With strong sun and thin paint it is possible you have a problem and are able to see it in good light. Many forum members have reported thin paint on BMW trim parts including front fender/bumper, at least one other forum members has had faded trim replaced under warranty. I would suggest you get a competent car paint specialist to check the paint thickness (using paint thickness gauge) and colour match for the whole car. It may require a repair (re-spray) /part replacement under warranty. With modern manufacturing some trim parts arrive at the factory pre-painted by the supplier, the paint thickness on the car will vary but if you can actually see a problem then it must be bad.
