iDrive restart?

Today I parked the car and went into a store. 10 minutes later got back in car, and all of my settings were reset. Seat memory. Side mirrors. M1/M2 button settings. Etc...

My GPS position is also messed up now. It's off by a few miles. Thinks I'm driving in the ocean. See pic.

I think I need to CTRL ALT DEL my iDrive. But I can't remember the buttons to do that. Anyone know?

Press and hold the Mode button and the radio button for like 30 seconds.

Thanks. I attempted that but my NAV is still showing my location in the ocean.

Do I need to try a full factory reset?

Hold that mode button longer. Can be up to like 2 minutes for me at times.

How often is a reset like this necessary?
I had two 2017 BMWs - 340, X3 Never heard of this.
I now have a 2021 M5C.

This thread leads me to believe that this is not so unusual.
"But I can't remember the buttons to do that." <-- Implies that one should remember how to do this.

10 years of owning M cars equipped with iDrive and I've never had to do this.

wow - never knew of this.
I wonder if this will fix a current TPMS issue I am having.
To explain, the dealer called me said I should come in for an oil change. Even though I did it much earlier at a local friend indy. Then somehow the zapped my car the next morning, and it said service request, etc, TPMS also failure.
So we cleared everything but the TPMS issue is still present.
Thoughts ?
