Has anyone else's Spotify app stopped working as of last week in iDrive?
Worked perfectly up until then, now it doesn't even show as an app anymore. Hate using just Bluetooth now I'm accustomed to the app!

Was working fine for me yesterday. I'm assuming you've tried restarting your phone?

My Spotify went away in Idrive when part of my free BMW app store expired. Spotify still works from my phone and has limited info in Idrive but the album art is gone.

Are you using it through connected drive? Or airplay? It's never worked for me on android and I thought there were a bunch of threads confirming the same in the nav section. Some say it works with a very specific, extremely old version of Spotify but I haven't had any luck.

I have a Pixel 3 Android. I used to have two choices to connect, one with Connected Drive BT through the idrive Spotify app. Now I connect through BT with my phone profile. You need to activate Phone, Audio and media etc. in the BT setup. So I'm actually running Spotify from my phone. The phone to Idrive BT connection allows control of the music stream with the Entertainment system. It works through the steering wheel displayed in the instrument cluster and from the iDrive screen but it is just basic music info and song control. The fancy display from the idrive Spotify with album art is gone.

Yeah I've tried restarting it. Are you on iOS? Do you know which version of Spotify you're on?

I've still got another 3 years of the free stuff so it shouldn't be that I don't think.

Mine was working just now, with CarPlay though.

Never mind I'm an idiot. Under phone settings in iDrive BMW Apps was unticked. Reticked it and we're all good!

I had this problem on my 328i 2017 and I solved it with the instructions found here (downgrading the spotify version):
