Exclamation Please Vote AND post: PROcede Rev.II Pricing

Hi guys,
We're working out final pricing for different versions of the new PROcede Rev.II. For more info about it, feel free to check out: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179179

But in order to finalize pricing, it would greatly help to know what particular version you guys would opt for if you were in the market for a tuning system. Just vote for the version that is most attractive to you given the proposed price and features. Feel free to vote even if you already have a tuning system. Just pretend you had to do it over again and pick the one of the four that would best suit your needs/budget.

Keep in mind that it is possible to upgrade from a "Lite" version to a "Race" version. The upgrade price would roughly be the difference in retail price. However, this would involve shipping the unit back to us so we can update the firmware and add the radio controlled mapswitch hardware on the circuit board. So the update couldn't be done at home like usual.

Here's more info on the various PROcede levels:

PROcede Race PnP $975
This is the full jammy kit. Similar to the current v3.1 set-up. Comes with a Plug n Play harness. All the software features are enabled. This includes:
-User Adjustable features
-Firmware updating via laptop
-Map updating via laptop
-Radio Control Mapswitching with keyfob
-High Speed datalogging
-And access to new features as they come out (and a lot are coming out!)

PROcede Race Wire-In $775
Just like above but without a PnP harness. So installation involves old-school pin extraction. Wires will be color coded to reduce the chance of mis-installation. But obviously, given the nature of installation, mistakes are possible. Best suited for expert level users.

PROcede Lite PnP $775
Just like the Race PnP version but with the following differences:
-User Adjustable Screen is disabled
-No radio controlled mapswitching. Although the user can wire-up a toggle switch of their choice and mount it wherever they want to.
-No firmware updating via laptop. This means the user will not have access to new features as they come out.

PROcede Lite Wire-in $575
Just like the above but without a PnP harness. The usual caveats apply.

Just in case it wasn't clear, even the "Lite" versions will offer:
-High Speed datalogging
-Speed limiter defeat
-User software interface
-Map updating via laptop
-access to a variety of map files with different settings (Lagfix on/off, Valet on/off, traction nanny on/off, valet speedlimit on/off, 6AT or 6MT, etc,.) But obviously, no where near the options available through use of user adjustable features.

Also, please note that these prices and feature lists aren't final. They are just proposed and subject to change. But your input will greatly help us figure out what is important to you and help us provide it at the lowest possible price while still keeping the software development train rolling.

Looking forward to your input! Feel free to post why you chose what you did as well. It would be great to know your reasoning

Cheers.
Shiv

P.S. While I don't see how this could possibly turn into a tuner war, let's keep it clean please.
P.S.S. I'm voting just so I can see the results without having to click on "view poll results"

Keep the votes coming!

It would be great if you guys also post why you voted for you choice instead of the other options. It would really help us get a good grasp on consumer needs. As it is, I'm already very surprised that everyone (so far) has voted for the more expensive, full functioned options.

I would prefer a full function pnp device, even if I had to pay extra for it. The idea of eliminating the pin out installation should help reduce your tech support demands and should make for easier installation.

Yea i agree, get rid of the wire out option and stick with PNP.

the PROcede race, sounds perfect since it will be exactly like the current V3 with all the features and all the goodies but at a great price.
as for the others, its been done
rather have the full version PROcede since its available why not the full 100 yards but a half ass version is my take anyways

I voted Lite Pin-out but I think you should offer both PnP and pin-out of the Lite version.

The only argument against you at the moment is price and providing the "lite" version at 575/775 would take that away.

PROcede wire in, since it has the full features for a good price.

the LITE(either version) wont have enough of a appeal since the JB3 is out.

I vote for the Race PnP, we paid too much for our cars to skimp on features for 200 bucks. It's like buying a sweet house and not installing a garbage disposal in your sink....

How so? The Lite version has more feature than JB3 for almost the same price (datalogging, user interface, map update etc). Unless JB3 lower the price by the time the Rev II is released.

What he said. Might think twice if it was a choice between paying $1500 and $500, but for $200 why would you give up the additional functionality?

All of them offer the same level of 29.2 and up compliance.

I voted Procede Lite PNP. I don't care much for user adjustability... and increased risk to the engine/drivetrain associated with it.

what is your return policy shiv? Can we in anyway return the PROcede if we do not like it? How about credit if we buy the PROcede and want to get something else in the future? or if i had a PROcede v3, and wanted to get the PROcede RACE PNP. how would that work, no credit?

Thanks for you (and everyone's) feedback. Keep it coming As for a exchange credit for Rev.I PROcede, that would be tough to do since the replacement product is less expensive. If the Rev.II was more expensive, we could easily work something out since there would always be a market for a used lower priced Rev. I unit. But I won't rule it out yet because it's still early in the game. But if we can't do that, i'll try to find another way to 'compensate' Rev. I users.
