I have heard good things about the Active Autowerke Intercooler. We are going to do this on our 335 so hopefully we will have a review rather soon for you guys.
Any aftermarket intercooler will effect the warranty only in the event that the dealer can prove that the aftermarket modification caused an issue with the car. They cannot refuse to honor the warranty just because you have aftermarket parts installed, the burden of proof is on them. |

How is that a false statement? Let's put it this way. The only one that guarentees you still have the warranty after installation is the Dinan intercooler. I mean you could have a fuel pump problem and if they want to be jerks they can blame that as the issue at hand. So how is it false again?

Stupid question I'm sure but what COULD an intercooler cause to break? Or in essence... what could they blame it for. And on a scale of 1-10 how dick would they have to be to void it for that reason.

We carry the Race Precision FMIC and have had lots of success with it.
No cutting is required & the gains are very good. Contact me for a quote. |

AA, Helix, Spearco, RPI, ... all good intercoolers. They are different though ( installation, design, performance ). Do a search and choose the one you prefer.

Dinan will void your BMW factory warranty (if there is an issue). However, the difference between Dinan and others is, Dinan will warranty an issue with the engine. With that said, AA is nice

You certainly have to cut for the Dinan.
One thing I noticed is the Dinan IC has custom shrouding in the front. Looks like it's designed to direct more air through the cooler; sorta like a scoop. Do other ICs have this same feature? |

with any other intercooler you have a very good chance that your BMW warranty will stay in tact. Any major problems, assuming you chose an intercooler that doesnt require major cutting, you can swap the stock one back in no problem. for example - I still have my warranty and I have the Helix intercooler.
