Codeing HU AUX - how to?

Hi everyone,

I got my MMI installed yesterday and everything is working perfect so far.

The only thing I don’t like is it seems my car does not use the Aux input from the quad lock, and I need to plug in the 3.5mm plug under the arm rest.

I saw someone was able to code this to work, disabling the arm rest input, but their steps did not work for me.

I have CICHB with COMBOX. Car came enhanced bluetooth, navi, office, phone dock enabled. 2013 335i M Sport.

Anybody have any insight in how to solve this with Bimmercode? I don’t like the 3.5mm plug as there isn’t a good way the route the cable (without cutting holes). I don’t mind turning off the aux, as I was thinking of converting that to the MMI usb anyway.

Ok, for what it’s worth I tried again and while it didn’t work right away, it seems to be working now.

For the record, here is what I did:

Coded:
In the Head Unit module:
CDMM_AUX_HU to active
CDMM_USB_AUDIO_SINGLE to not active
CDMM_USB_AUDIO_DOUBLE to not active

Thanks to BreeeZe for figuring this out.

Have an NBT unit on my 2015 F36 (no optical cable on quadlock). I can only find the CDMM_AUX_HU option for coding. Is there an equivalent set of codes for my NBT ID4 system that will move the AUX from the arm rest to the Quadlock connector? I don't like the idea of hard wire from my MMI box to the arm rest

Thanks!

Yeah i came to the conclusion of if the Quadlock adapter they provided has all the FBAS and AUX cable extended it should be a way of grabbing the sound directly from HU with coding before i remove everything and found the CDMM_AUX_HU to aktiv but because i have 6NR and 6FL the USB_AUDIO options was active. Once i deactivated them (Thanks to this post and you) i was able to get a good sound out without any additional effort. I set Loudness on the MMI to 2400+h that made it just right . Thank you for the post!

Hello guys,

I have a e90 2010 with CIC with Bluetooth music etc I have a mmi box which uses the aux in arm rest, I want to use the aux from headunit but skeptical to code as don’t think it would work due to relocating the most fibre connection to the mmi quad lock, any help would be appreciated!

I did this as well and it worked for me.
I have a 2013 335i f30 with the HU_Entry system and this allowed me to unplug the front aux cable i had to run to the connection under my armrest.
It could be placebo, but i think my audio quality slightly increased?
Thank you everyone

Hi, I did this on my 2011 F10 CIC as well but no sound other than hissing noise if I turn the volume high enough from the Android HU though while iDrive is fine.

May I know if you did anything else to make it work pls?

Thanks!
