Weird chugging/popping noise

Alright, so I just replaced the starter on my '11 E90 328i XDrive, and after I started it, it made this weird chugging/popping noise from the drivers side of the engine at idle. I have no clue what's causing it. I did replace the intake manifold gaskets per BMW procedure. I also made sure all of the hoses with satan's fittings were connected before I bolted the intake back in. There's no CEL (yet) and the motors running silky smooth as any inline-6 should. Any ideas? I really don't wanna have to take this to the stealership.

That sounds very much like some kind of vacuum leak. You should recheck you work. Surprised it's running that smooth.
The evap hose that goes here is very notorious for popping off from my experience so I'd check that as it's hard to get it seated

Hmmm seems kinda weird for it to be a vacuum leak since it runs smooth and when I took it out for a drive nothing felt out of place. Will check that hose though.

To me it sounds like something is unseated and the engine is pulling air through a small hole. Wasn't there before the intake job right?
