Service info indicator

I wanted to ask, my service interval indicator shows 15,000 miles till service, but I've already driven 1800 miles. Is this a bug in the OBC, or will the OBC adapt the 15,000 mile interval as it sees fit? Wouldn't you think that the 15,000 miles would count down the more you drive?

It shows the miles remaining until the next oil service, and it will count down the more you drive, eventually. It is determined by the amount of fuel consumed. If you are getting more than 21-22 MPG, your oil service interval will increase from the default of 15,500 miles.

Mine is showing 6,000 miles remaining and I have 12,900 miles on the odometer.
