h&r race spring kit

guys just a quick question
im considering lowering my car so as i see here you all go for h&r
i found out that the h&r spring lowers the car 20mm front and 30 mm rear
and the h&r race sprint kit 30mm front and 25mm rear.

what do you mostly use??

any pics available appreciated..

I have h&r sports and I think that it is the perfect drop. But then again I live in NY and the roads here are really shitty. Heres a pic of my car dropped on h&r spots and 19" wheels. Hope this helps.

I am dropped on H&R Race. I love my drop, though I can see why it might be too aggressive for some people. Personally I think the drop is perfect for the car.

Here is my car with H&R Race springs on stock wheels:

Another with my BBS wheels:

h&r race looks amazing. i love it. however these springs put a huge stress in your shocks and might blow them out over time. i say if u have the money look in coilovers maybe kw v3...

but this is just replacing springs. I heard you need coilovers if you want to drop your car and not fack up your shocks. Can someone chime in on this? I was thinking of lowing my car with springs but heard it's bad idea but coilovers I don't have cash laying around for... so I either save up or still go with springs.. that's my dilema.

i got to say i love the look of h&r race but not sure if they are any practical..

if you think you got bad roads in new york you should see cyprus

anw no way i can afford coilovers now..
so probably h&r sport or eibach sport which is somewhere in the middle od h&r sport and race.
thanks a lot for your replies

Just changing the springs (which I did) will make your OEM shocks where more quickly. I have an XI so there are no aftermarket shock options yet. It does make the ride a little bouncier, but nothing outrageous in my opinion. I've heard of people who have done this with 30k+ miles, with original shocks.

why not go for Mtech OEM springs and shocks?... maybe you'd be satisfied with that drop enough and still be ok with the bad roads.. just a thought. I think I'll do that most likely unless I can afford coilovers but don't look like ill have any free money in coming year looking at the current stock market..

I had Teins SS on my old E46 M3s, and Teins is not coming out with any as of yet. Would not even entertain a car to test on

How much lower is the M3 compared to the 335i?
Dinan offers a suspension package of springs shocks and anti roll bar; suspension package s2.

my car already has the sport suspension but still the front is not low enough.. i can live with with the rear but the front definitely needs a drop..
just o give you a picturemy car is on factoey sport suspension which is about 15-20 mm lower, with 235/35/19. it has a space between the fender and the wheel about 4-5 cm..
