No silver metallic anymore

G20 has silver metallic for non M models and new G22 coupe doesn't have that option at all. Can anybody explain why? Silver is essentail color for cars, just like black and white.

I feel your frustration. The G22 coupe does have Bluestone Metallic, which I haven’t seen in person and was considering, until I realized it’s only available on the base model, and not the m-sport, which I think is what you had said.

Bluestone is similar to Spacegrey but it's not silver color

The lack of colors this generation is really weird and disappointing. I also found the disappearance of silver surprising. BMW seems to be betting on black, white, gray and blue. Also why no red? Can't get it on the exterior or interior (4-series does have a dark red interior but its very tame, no red at all for 3er). Melbourne Red and Coral Red Leather were awesome options that were decently popular on the F3X, I can't imagine more people are picking Sunset Orange over a traditional red.

Exactly, I really only like Portimao and Tanzenite Blue, Mineral White, and Black Sapphire. Nothing else is really exciting.

Interestingly, I still have the brochures from my son's E83 X3 and E46 3-series. Would love to see the return of red of course, as well as a proper green like Fern Green, not the new 4er green which is a hideous tone of green, Fern is much more of an elegant almost emerald metallic look. Titanium Silver, and Steel and Imperial Blue would be awesome. Imperial always looked really classy and the metallic shine was beautiful.

Yes E46 had great color option, look at that palette. If they want to remove Titanium silver they should introduce new silver paint. Something like silver-white, generally mix of Mineral white and Titanium silver in 1:2 ratio

Seems crazy that you have to get an individual color just to get a silver variant. Silver is a staple of standard colors.
