Leftover oil from oil cooler
Is anyone concerned or thought about the leftover oil that remains in your oil cooler after an oil change?
I understand that the oil in there is not a huge amount but it does get mixed in with your brand new oil the next time you run your car. It could have deposits in it which you wouldn't want. |

There's always going to be a lot of leftover old oil in the engine... even without an oil cooler... nothing you can do about it.

the question and reply made me think of the Serenity Prayer:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Although, you know how some guys apply multiple coats of wax when the shine their ride? You could do a double oil change. It's just (your) money. |
