N20 HPFP leak into engine - really?

Hi,

I've been changing my valvetronic motor and I noticed when I took the HPFP out it seemed like petrol has been leaking out as there is strong smells in the oil/crankcase and it felt like there was an oily petrol mix around the piston and where it seals.

Any knowledge of these leaking? Surely you'd get codes for low pressure?

I suspect my oil might smell a little petrol like as it broke down and the valvetronic died at minimum lift, so ended up with long cranks, failure to start and no power when it finally fired up. I imagine petrol has seeped into the oil bypassing the rings, as it does.

Any thoughts
Thanks
Tim
