What transmission does my 2012 328xi have

I'm about to change all the "lifetime" fluids on my 2012 e92 328 xdrive but I'm not sure if I have the zf transmission or gm. How would I go about finding the exact part of the trans in my car?

Garage List
2007 BMW 328xi  [0.00]
you can find out by either scanning the modules with inpa or by looking underneath the car and seeing if you have the green gm label

This is true. X cars are all GM. GM box has a silver steel pan, ZF is black and plastic.

RM European lists filter kits for both 6L45r and ZF for that car. Maybe the catalog is wrong, but be careful and take a look underneath.

I would prefer the ZF myself. The GM 6L45 on our 328i shifts like shit.

The ZF is only with paddle shifters. If you don't have them, you have the GM trans.
