Taxes on new M3&M4 in your country / state or region

From previous threads it appears that there are massive differences in taxes from one country to another. The focus on CO2 emission reduction is I guess playing a key role here, pushing the taxes up. Would like to get a better idea of these taxes in the various countries (or specific state/region if any different) of the forums members.

Will start with my area i.e Belgium, Wallonie region (south part of Belgium) :
VAT : 21%, registration : 6157 Euro for the competition version , 6957 Euro for the manual version, yearly tax : 843 Euro for both

Thanks to add yours

Recurring yearly registration so about $75 or so I believe.

France was covered in a separate thread with this reportedly crazy 40,000 Euro registration tax starting next year.
Netherlands, I believe the pricing is not yet available (see website). This is about what it should be:

21% VAT
BPM (belasting op personenwagens en motorrijwielen) 39058€ for 248gr CO²/km or 33346€ for 234gr CO²/km.
recurrent "motorrijtuigenbelasting" of 248€ each quarter (mainly based on the weight of the vehicle).

When you believe this is already crazy, apparently as from 2021 the 21% VAT will also get applied on the ~40k€ BPM (so tax on tax!). Adding another 8202€ and 7002€ to the BMP. This renders the CO² tax even worse than in France!

Thanks for the info.
By the way just heard yesterday that in France they will introduce, for non electrical cars, a further additional tax based on car weight. It will be 10 Euro per kilo above a certain weight threshold. Initially the threshold was suposed to be 1400 kg but finally it will be 1800 kg. Guess the last minute change was done to avoid to affect French car producers since all their vehicules are below that limit. I however suppose that the threshold will go down every new year.
Granted this tax is against big (mainly German) SUV but it will also affect some luxury / GT cars. The new M3/M4 at around 1800 kg will be bordeline.

Crazy taxes! Today in our newspaper: extra taxes entering Brussels and also tax per distance driven and progressive with the displacement of the engine. For an evarage car another 1200€ per year on top of all this just for communting to work!

ICE cars are near dead!

Tax per distance driven and progressive with the displacement of the engine... Is it not already covered by the taxes on gas ?

That's what I also thought! They don't want to tax ownership, but the usage of your car. Then they want something progressive with CO². Well that's very simple: that are the taxes on fuel. But the taxes on fuel are already ~70% of the end consumer price and that's clearly not covering the tax revenue government wants to squeeze out of this.

so tax on purchase 21%, first registration ~10k€, yearly right to drive it on the road ~1000€, 70 % on fuel cost, toll per kilometer driven, tax on entering certain regions. Who is still enjoying driving his car?

You still are? There is a new CO² taxation in the makes by the federal government as we speak!

Not really ...but not because of taxes (they are high but not much different in my region than 25 years ago when I bought my first M3)... because of the traffic which has tremendously increased over the years, the speed traps which are now everywhere and finally the speed bumps in every city/village
