My e92 has saddle brown sport package seats. Me being an airplane mechanic and overall diy guy on the side I can try not to but I get some dirt and grease on the seats and overall the interior as you can see on the pics.

I bought the bmw leather case set PN 83192339687 which I suppose is a conditioner.

I bought the sonax leather cleaner from fcp euro

Now I've been made believe the product doesn't matter as much as the way it's applied. Everyone recommends the Swissvax leather brush and i watched it work wonders but it isn't in stock.

What can I use to clean the seats thoroughly? Any readily available boars brushes? I saw this bottle at Autozone which had a very nice brush but I would need to buy the whole thing, thanks! First time cleaning leather.

Also my steering wheel is super shiny. Which is the way all bmws I've had have been. However I've seen they turn matte when cleaned on YouTube videos. So is my wheel just absolutely disgusting?

Believe it or not I had some good results using a drill brush attachment with the softest bristles available (white). Using a drill there tends to be a lot of splatter so I stuck with the smaller size for areas where I needed to be more careful.

In other times, I used a boar's hair brush and a microfiber applicator sponge. Both of them yielded mediocre results as they they're not very good at lifting up dirt from within the leather.

BMW Dakota leather such as yours is very nice and thick so it can take a harsher approach no problem.

Not the best pic to show how clean the leather is, BUT I use a boars hair brush and micro fiber towel. The brush is from Chemical Guys and I ordered it off amazon

cdn online gratis

This isn't the brush I bought, but I would reccomend this one. I'll be buying it soon

I was mostly set on the boars brush idea but the seats indeed are quite dirty and seems to be a bit stuck in place so idk how well it'd do against it. Just scared I'll ruin the seat with a damn drill with a brush mounted to it

I've seen a lot of these design of brushes being used too

Start with the boar's hair brush and see how it goes. You can always step it up to a drill brush or go with a Leatherique treatment if you want to completely remove all dirt.

When leather is dirty enough, a towel just won't cut it.

I used this on my saddle brown interior and it got out the shininess and the dirt. Make sure to also buy the brush separately.

They also have saddle brown leather dye for any areas that are worn.

The one I've been eyeing is the colourlock brush just it looks a bit hard. The chemical guys looks great too kind of at an in between the two. Definitely will start with the brush before I step up to the drill attachment if I do need it which I hope I don't

The chemical guys uses actual horse hair while the colourlock is synthetic

I used some Spray nine spray degreaser and some soapy water to clean the seats and regular soft scrub brush and a rag.

I've used this one from Detailed Image for years. Nice stiff, short bristles get the leather properly matte.

I went with the chemical guys brush and although it shed some hairs look at this difference! Wow I'm blown away by how much cleaner and how much better the clean side feels! I'll make sure to update when I clean the interior completely and steering wheel

It works quite well however I do have some concerns with the brush or maybe the sonax leather cleaner. While it had cleaned everything nicely it has shown some wear spots which weren't there before and my microfiber looks brown. Is there a chance this is just dirt on the towel or are these two removing leather color from my interior? Here is the armrest, it kind of went away as it dried after wiping

This is most likely a result of you removing the dirt from the leather and not the color being removed. Very common complaint with people who use Leatherique products as it removes all the oil/grime that is on the leather and exposes all the cracks from years of use.

I thought you had Terra interior it was so dark. Huge difference after cleaning it.

After scrubbing with a cleaner some dye may come off, it's painted on.. Don't panic it can be fixed or ignored easily.

Okay phew. The part I showed wet and worn now kind of came back to color. Idk if I'm maybe using too much pressure with the brush or too much or not enough leather cleaner, the brush kind of soaks it up.

Just ordered the same brush and some cleaner and conditioner after seeing this thread. I've always just used a microfiber but I know my seats need a deep cleaning like yours so thanks for the push!

The bottom of the seat cured itself nicely though the back is a bit worn but this is all cleaner I'm going to condition it right now. The bolster will definitely need dye in the future but I've always known that. Hopefully it turns out great for you

before using chemicals and brush, have you tried a portable steamer? I tried it before and it worked pretty well.
