I finally decided to install a Mods4Cars module to allow one touch open and closing of the top. It was pretty simple just unplug the harness add this patch in-between and that was it. If it was only that easy. As soon as I turned the car on the module kept blinking the red error light. I uninstalled the module and plugged the cars harness back in and now the car just says Hardtop error and the top will not operate at all. This has been a total disaster. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue. Or what could be wrong.

had the same issue. the plug behind the seats needs to be fitted perfectly level but closing the clip (hope that makes sense).

you think I just need to plug and unplug it a few times, I've been needing with it all morning now. I even put the module back in and now no led lights on it at all, it def seems to be related to the plug not making contact

also do you push in until the clip closed on it's own or use the clip to pull itself in. this thing seems way too finicky

success!! thanks for the help as it was the harness not making contact. I read a few more forums and the culprit seems to be the cover over the actual harness. once removed it is then possible manually connect the harness. you have to be very careful not to bend the pins. I bent one and had to remove the entire module to fix. at that point I went ahead and hooked up the mods4cars as I suspected that was also why it was giving me an error and all works properly.

anyone having this issue feel free to message me as I know this is terribly frustrating when the top will not work
