M4 Convertible?

Have they announced when the M4 Convertible AWD will be released? I don't think it's part of tomorrow's announcement, is it?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I did search. My search said the M4 vert is coming out in July 2021. BUT, I found it curious that the official press releases from BMW mentioned a "summer" release for M xDrive, but nothing mentioned the convertible. I currently have an F80, but was thinking I would get a convertible next time.

Now I'm nervous. Need reassuring the convertible is really starting production July 2021.

The reason they are not talking about the m4 convertible is that the new 4 series convertible "doesn't exist yet" aka has not been formally announced... so there can't be an m4 with out a 4

Right, that makes sense. I thought the G23 was going to start production in Nov 2020. If so, I would think they would have announced it by now. Which brings to my original comment...I'm nervous the timeline has slipped.

When will the G23 be announced? November is right around the corner.

The F33 became official on October 11th, 2013 for a November 2013 production start.

If we reach late October with no word on the G23, then it may be worth revisiting any concerns.

Thanks. Let's assume that the SOP remains at 7/21, is that the first order date as well or will they let people order ahead of that? I have a 2018 F33 and am finally at the point where I can justify an M-powered car! Living in Chicago, I always hesitated with the RWD. The AWD is a game changer...

Dealers will get order guides before then, no guarantee your dealer (or USA builds) will get an allocation for July but they should be rolling pretty soon after.

If you must have the first one I'm sure your dealer will take a deposit today for their first allocation
