How's your reception and downloading speed?

I was bored and thought about possibly getting one, but I have verizon and love the service I get. For people, especially around the princeton/jersey shore area (which is where I spend most of my time), how's the voice reception and 3G service?

I have verizon. I was gonna get a 3g as a second phone. The guy at the store was straight up with me and said "the service isn't terrible but, it isn't great either". That's all I needed to hear. It sucks too because there's nothing like the iphone except the iphone.

That's what I was afraid of. I can easily live without it, just wanted a new toy. I have a dare right now and its alright, just nothing exciting.

I was looking at at&t's plans and I thought verizon was bad! for basically the same features, att is 20 bucks more.

eh at&t is sub-par some people will say its great but i thought it was bad when i had it during high school I'd probably say one out of every ten calls would be dropped due to no service..

Don't get a stupid iPhone, get a blackberry Storm from Verizon... its coming out sometime in the next few months.. check it out:

the AT&T you had in high school was probably att wireless, the company/service/network has changed completely ; )

verizon and ATT are VERY similar... actually 99% of the data/rate plans are exactly the same

the service is also 99% the same... they also have ALMOST the same amount of customers (Verizon has 71 million and AT&T has 73 million)

but HEY dont listen to me! I work for AT&T

come get an iphone, try it out for 30 days, if you dont like it - return it ; )

ive had every cell company out there... ATT and VZW the only good ones... try ATT out you wont be disappointed, especially because you can go anywhere in the world and use your own number

you can also switch to a different phone as easy as putting your sim in it ; )

if you want to test out our service... go to walmart... buy a 15$ go phone

it has 90% of the service that the realistic ATT network does, youll get a pretty good feel for it

Haha thanks for the pitch...

I'm gonna pick up an iphone during lunch just to test it out for a week or two...the difference in cost btw my current plan and the plan i'd get is 20 bucks a month....kind of a kick in the ass but I'll see if the service/fun factor make up for it.
