Hi There,

I really need some help.

So i was coming for the M42 to the A42 3 weeks ago and i got a drivetrain issue.

So basicaly managed to limp home, and then the car didnt start again easily, the car will start if you turn it over 20x but then you get the drivetrain issue.

It was diagnosed by a BMW specialist as a failed HPFP. They wanted £6500 to rapair as to warrent their work they want to bascially replace everythign in the fueling system from the lpfp to the injectors due to them saying potential iron filings from the failing pump.

I have then bought another HPFP from a breaker from a car that was running. I still have the same problem, I managed to get the car started yestreday after time and time again of cranking it but leave it over night and it wont start again

Has anybody had anything similar, The error code originally was low fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

If you're having that much issues you might have to bite the bullet on this one. See if there's an indy shop around with some decent cred. Because fueling system parts are very finicky and the fact yours is a diesel makes it 10x more complicated. Sorry this is happening to you
