Is this to go from non touch screen to touchscreen? I have a 2017 340i with the 8.8 inch non touch screen running Idrive5. Is it just a straight swap or?

The hardware is straight swap but in order to use the touch functionality it requires some coding. I can help with the coding if needed.

The following coding needs to be changed in idrive.

HMI_ID_VERSION > id6_light
CID_TOUCH > aktiv
CID_HMI_TOUCH > aktiv

This would change your interface from id5 to id6
