Transmission issues 8AT

Hey guys

I have a 2016 328i with VRSF downpipe and bootmod3 acn stage 1 tune. Lately when driving normally, when I brake the down shifts have become jerky even after the car is warm. Sometimes the braking feels similar to that of an EV car with the regenerative braking. I tried to reset the transmission with no change and flashed to stock to see if it's make a difference. Just now I was driving down my street with about 20% throttle in comfort mode and it felt like my transmission was slipping and there was some jerkiness. The wheels felt like they were locked or something similar to that. Any idea what it can be before taking it to the dealer?

How many miles on your car? Is the fluid in the trans from factory? Are you using a transmission tune of any sort?

2014 335i xdrive BM3 stage 1 91oct 8AT Sport auto programmed.

I have noticed on my car the transmission was never "smooth" to begin with. It has always been rough at low speeds and in traffic. After flashing, the downshifts are just odd and inconsistent. I'll be slowing down on the same off ramp going from say 70mph to 0mph and one time it will do small incremental downshifts and rpms will stay between 1800 and 3k. Doing the same exact thing with the same exact time, temp, fuel amount, speed, and brake pressure, it will let the rpms drop down to about 1100/1200 and then do one big downshift skipping a gear or 2 and rev to like 4500/5000 rpm and continue with 2 smaller downshift with a little jerk going from 2nd to first. Sounds cool as hell when it does it but it's just weird. I had the trans serviced at 52k ish and the shop commended the condition of the internals. I have tried resetting the adaptations and it makes no difference. I've noticed that the 1st gear to 2nd gear and 2nd gear to 1st gear shifts are almost always jerky or laggy.

Hey man, thanks for the response!

I recently had my car checked at the dealer and aside from a valve cover gasket leak, they said everything looked fine and no issues with the transmission. I've felt exactly everything you've said so far and I'm going to drive my buddies 328i to compare for difference. Friend just picked up an m340i and the smoothness of the transmission was incredibly clear form just driving it a few minutes. Don't really know what to do now except accept the fact.

Try download xHP flashtools and check your gearbox adaptation if it's still within the tolerance level. You do not need a license to check your gearbox. I scan my gearbox and send the result to xHP to check my gearbox condition before buying their license.
