Great review! I can't wait. Too bad we'll be getting them in the middle of winter here in the US.

I had just read this today. I'm a long-term evo subscriber, and I cannot recall when they last gave a five-star rating to a non-supercar...it feels like it has been years. I was always "proud" that the E39 M5 was a car also given a 5-star rating back in the day...

They seem to like it but like everyone else, they dwell too much on the MSRP. At this juncture, I was hoping we could of move pass that one fact.. #WishfulThinking

I get that 85k is a lot of money and the Competition is a great bargain but if you someone that wants the apex predator of the M2 model lineage, the CS is where its at..

Also, the Adaptive M Suspension with a CS tuning does add to the model; the spring does a lion share the suspension rebound but the dampers specifically controls its operation and motion.

Having shocks that by extension, can influence the rebound, based on vehicle logic, adds to vehicle's body control.

So that added layer of dynamism, mixed with a higher horsepower and bespoke carbon fiber pieces, justifies its price, in my humble opinion.

I wish I could buy an M2CS here for 85,000 USD.

That would equate to a M2C here

I think the M2 CS has the potential to be a sought after car in the years to come. I'm hopeful of getting an allocation. I suspect the M2 Competition will be an afterthought once the G87 M2 Competition launches. CS cars are more unique and much harder to obtain with their limited production.

It is a bit strange they are limiting the model to those colors only.

Strange they don’t have any “frozen” paint.

I do agree. If all the BMW options available, picking something just because it's also available at that 2er factory feels a bit cheap.

Really does deserve a fire Orange, Imola Red etc but Misano is plenty vibrant....just available on a lot of cars.

They even admitted that they had to use whatever was already available at the Leipzig plant. They thought Misano was the best of the blue leftovers.

I read this too, shameful. I wish the M2 would get the same respect within BMW as the M3/M4. Instead the G87 M2 will get a detuned S58 to not compete with M3/M4.

Interior likely getting a decent upgrade too

I agree with you to present it in other colors, for example, as it would be cool on the new M8!
