Finally got my M2C

Hi all

Been lurking here for a while now as I ordered an M2C back in February. Of course COVID struck so the wait has been made even longer (1st world problem)

Finally today I picked up my M2C in the following spec
  • Black Sapphire Metallic
  • Manual
  • Sunroof
  • 2NH Performance Brakes (an option in the UK)
  • Plus pack
  • Heated wheel
  • Electric seats

I've driven it around 100 miles up to now and it's absolutely mega! So much pull from the engine, the brakes are excellent. Clearly I've not gone for it yet as it's still being run in.

I also purchased the 763M wheels in frozen gold, the performance carbon spolier and mirror caps

Can't wait to drive this more - I'm holding back at the moment as it's going in for a full PPF wrap in a week's time, so trying to avoid any stone chips in the mean time

Love it!

best to park it until the full PPF. Those rock chips sneak up on you!!

Enjoy the purchase homey!!!

Congrats! You will appreciate the easiness of cleaning the 763M wheels compared to the 788M wheels.

Congrats!

Just got mine as well recently and am in the same boat, want to break it in ASAP but also waiting for PPF to get done later this week... I think I am just going to avoid driving any highway miles at least.

I am loving mine as well so far

I bought one last week, en route to dealer, has both the comfort and plus pack so seems pretty well specced. I had decided a couple of years ago that I was getting a bit old for M cars and have been running an X3 M40i. A competent vehicle but a bit of a barge. So couldn’t resist the M2.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the trade in deal and discount on the M2. It should be at the dealers this week so may get it before the weekend.

Slightly concerned about the ground clearance as it seems to sit a little lower than the M3 and can’t get to my house without crossing speed bumps.

Congrats! These cars are truly gorgeous in sapphire. PPF is 100% the way to go. Upload some pics once you get it all put together!

Cheers all - I'll wait for the PPF and a proper clean before uploading photos. There's a couple on my Insta, @mnbrennan

Congrats!
+1 on getting PPF asap.
I drove straight to the installer after picking up my car.
And for that short drive, I taped up the front for protection.

No worries, I traded in a M4C and it's all good. Plus the shorter wheel base gives you a better break-over angle.

Picked up this morning, looking great though seagull had crapped on it before I got to the ferry to collect it. The joy of life by the seaside.

Speed bumps no problem.

Very impressed lovely car to drive, watching the revs but very quick. Missing the HUD but will soon get used to looking at the speedo again. Seats seem very comfortable, but used to similar from previous M3s. The tech is a bit behind the M40i but so much nicer to drive and nothing vital.

Think I will need to keep on good terms with tyre supplier !!

Ride very good considering the way it handles, it is actually good to not have to faff about with adaptive settings looking for best combination and just get on with enjoying driving it.

Reminds me of E46 M3 CS but brought up to date.

We all nit pick this car a bit initially...suspension can use coilovers, sound can be better, no HUD/tech, etc., but at the end of the day and after driving it for a few months, the M2C is the perfect street daily driver. Enjoy your car and post pics!
