After a long and exhaustive search, and not being able to locate the perfect leftover 2020 X3M Competition, I got an allocation and placed my order. The car should arrive in late September or early October.
Here's my build spec: 2021 BMW X3M Competition: - Donington Grey Metallic - Sakhir Orange/Black Extended Merino Leather - Competition Package - Executive Package - Driving Assistance Package Plus - Carbon Fiber Interior Trim - Ventilated Seats - Space Saver Spare Tire - M-Sport Seat Belts I was torn on whether to order the exterior Carbon Fiber package but figured I could use those dollars to have the complete front of the X3M wrapped in PPF. I am thinking of using STEK PPF and then a CQuartz UK 3.0 Ceramic Coating on the entire vehicle. I was really hoping to pickup a left over 2020 given the rebates and discounts currently available but I did not want to settle for NOT my perfect spec. And, being a real OCD type guy, I would prefer to get a fresh "off the truck" car and personally handle the unwrapping and new car preparation work. I have to admit that I am not a big fan of the new virtual cockpit pro but am happy to get a second model year car and also the iDrive 7.0. I am looking at it as a bit of a trade off. Also, I hear conflicting opinions that the suspension on the 2021's may have been re-tuned? Expecting the car to come with summer tires, I am asking if I can order all-seasons? If not I will pickup a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons 4's. Deal was good. I managed to get a guaranteed 11% off MSRP + any active incentives available at the time of delivery (e.g. BMW cash, conquest rebate, USAA/PenFed rebates, etc.). I was also able to lock-in and protect the special BMW financing rates of .9% for 60 months or 1.9% for 72 months until my delivery date. So, now I am officially waiting. I guess being active here on the forum will help to pass the time. Pics to come once the truck comes in. Thanks guy! |

My cousin is actually the General Manager of the dealership, so no, no deposit required. If I back out he will simply keep the car for his inventory.

Donington Grey with Sakhir Orange interior - very few color combinations can displace it from being perhaps the most vivid one.
Congratulations! |

Phil is as good as it gets. He did my whole PPF on ours. Here it is next to his at Detailers Domain. Donnington is also the best color.

Saw this on LeaseHackr the other day, seems to tick all the boxes for your requirements, just don’t know about the space-saver spare. Might be worth an inquiry? I really love the look of this color combination, but I just can't get myself to do a red interior - something in the back of my mind tells me I'll find it too bright after 6 months or so.

See if you can order the supposedly no-charge carbon fiber strut brace. Just curious

I would also check on the carbon strut brace because on INDs website I was reading the description and it says any X3M built 11-19 on got the carbon brace and I guess I just missed on mine which has a built date of 11-19.

You're looking to get the vented seats. Lots of negative reviews on them, but I think the seats were from Lear and now they're from someone else. Have you heard of improvements with the new supplier?

The ventilation isn't that strong, but for $350 it's a no brainer. You can feel it, but I wish the fan was stronger.
