Leather question

Good evening. Back in March I took delivery of my 2020 M550 in Carbon Black with mocha Nappa leather with leather dashboard option.

My question is this: is the tunnel that is next to the driver and passenger legs covered in Nappa as well or is it the fake/plasticky leather?

For the car itself I have no complaints. Really a terrific daily driver with great comfort/luxury combined with excellent performance and technology.

I did add the performance suspension/AWS option for those who are interested.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered on this subject.

Beautiful car but it looks like Sensatec because of the grain and shininess. BMW cut corners here and should not have skimped in this area on your highly equipped car because when it is covered in leather it is soft and noticeable. The attention to this detail stands out. I had a Jaguar that had this exact area between the seats covered in leather and it really made the cabin premium looking and feeling. That said I really like the Mokka perforated leather interior.

I have the Nappa upholstery and leather dash options and the tunnel sides are covered at the top in some kind of hard plastic material with carpeting below that. The dash top and door tops are all Nappa as are the steering wheel and seats.

I believe that one has to order the full Merino interior to get leather there. That wasn't an option for me as I couldn't wait the additional time for an individual leather order.

Steve in AZ - thanks for the response. Unfortunately, BMW doesn't make it very clear what is covered in Nappa leather and what isn't. It's a minor detail but does detract from the overall aesthetics of such a nice car.

Sorry for the upside down photos - total fail on that one.

I am based in the US.

FWIW, I came from a 2016 e63s AMG. That was a nice car with a great sound but this car is better overall in my opinion. so much more comfortable and such better tech. It really makes up for the exhaust note that is lost between the 2 cars. Very happy with my decision.
