Map Update 2020-2 uk

At least in the uk, the latest map update is available. Download manager required an update and the usb stick required to be ntfs now. Pretty certain I used fat32 before.

I needed a 33.09 + GB USB stick to unzip the download to for transfer to the vehicle. Also you have to choose a download location. Don't do what I did and choose the 64 GB USB for the download as then there is no room for the unzipped file . Duh!

I still don't get why it takes sooooooooo long for the file to download... I have a decent broadband connection, kept the laptop near the WiFi router, yet it was still hours!

I'm able to stream a 4K UHD/Dolby Vision movie with Dolby Atmos surround sound perfectly fine; can do zoom calls whilst using a StarWars Deathstar backdrop with no lag, jitter or drop outs; work from home and send xxMb attachments in milliseconds - but download a BMW map update??? That'll be the best part of a day, Sir...

And as mentioned above, save somewhere else and then copy onto the USB! (also found out the hard way... )

thanks for the heads up. Only recently updated my maps but might as well do it again. The car is only sitting there on the drive.
