Air Suspension Issue Following Jacking

I harmlessly jacked car to remove REAR tire (Lost Pressure due to NAIL)

I did not "warn" the info screen that I was about to jack up the passenger rear of car

When I lowered car, Rear Suspension Air Bag would NOT reinflate

Getting a failure message on main info screen

Car is sitting lopsided and will not level!!

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Try disabling, then re-enabling the air suspension system. With the ignition on and engine off, push up (or down) on the suspension level switch for 7 seconds - no more, no less. This will disable the system. You will know it is disabled because the green dash line will be gone. To re-enable the system, push up (or down) on the same switch for 7 seconds. That should reset the system.

I did this when I did a test fit of my space saver spare and had no issues with my air suspension when I was done.

First shalt thou turn off thy engine. Then, shalt thou count to seven, no more, no less. Seven shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be seven. Eight shalt thou not count, nor either count thou six, excepting that thou then proceed to seven. Nine is right out! Once the number seven, being the seventh number, be reached, then thou shall re-enable thy Holy suspension system.

Not many owners are aware of that they need to deactivate the air suspension level before changing wheels/spare. Should create a sticky on quick and important things new owners should be aware of.

Helpful as always m8.

Nevermore..... Nevermore.....

But FWIW, the reason I was very explicit with the 7 seconds is that I have done several maintenance procedures in my BMWs where you needed to press a button for some number of seconds. But none that I remember had such a tight time tolerance as this procedure. In fact, the first time I did it, when I tried to re-enable the system, I needed a stopwatch to get the timing right ...

That's interesting. I had no such issue when I disabled/enabled my air suspension. In my testing it was a "minimum" of 7 seconds. I held it for longer than 7 seconds and it still worked for me. Less than 7 seconds was a no go however.

Are you able to drive it? Do you have a suspension error message? It may re-enable itself. One time when I disabled it, I forgot and started driving. Once I realized I forgot to re-enable it, I noticed that it was back on again.

UPDATE:

I pulled fuses, replaced these (unblown) fuses

Started vehicle, put into Sport then Comfort then Sport

Started Driving

Air Suspension re-leveled

Miracle....No more Lo Rida!

Lesson Learned - Always share my thoughts and feelings with my X7 and communicate them, especially when I am about to raise the vehicle to remove a wheel
