Wheel Gap on 2020 X5M Comp

May still be too early for kits, but what's generally the best route (and source for parts) to drop the vehicle 1-2" and eliminate the wheel gap?

The 2020 is leap years better than previous gen, especially the interior design and sound. Really wish they would do something about the wheel gap on this car though..

You mean you don’t love the 4x4 look on a sports car? LOL

Actually, I don’t think there are any X5M specific springs available yet but you might like the KW coil over adjustable height kit.

MSS is working on a height adjustable kit for this car which most X3M guys praise. No specific ETA though....

Yea, if you have summer high performance tire/wheels and track performance everything, might as well slam it down as there isn’t any chance a X5M is every going off road.

It's an SUV. What is the functionality of lowering it? If you are looking for the lowrider forum, look elsewhere.

I’ve had my 2020 comp for a few months and agree the wheel gap is a bit wide, especially in the front.

As far as I can tell, no drops yet, but hopefully one of the majors will have something ready in August.

I think you're buying the wrong car. Buy an m5. Problem solved. Lowering these trucks causes all kinds of residual effects you weren't looking for. Ive done it in the past. Wouldn't do it again. Did look cool though.

Understood. I have never lowered a car; what type of problems? I have already tuned the car so I’m already in warranty purgatory.

If dropping is a bad idea, what about going up to 40’s all the way around from the 35 fronts and 30 rears? Thanks.

In the US its popular to lower suvs, install sideskirts, installing ultrawheels, lots of chrome etc.

It has never been my taste. But all people has different taste.

If I would like car lying on the ground I would go for m5/m8gc but I love the x5 style so I went for comp and looking forward to get it. These gaps really fit to the car imho.

I'm in Dallas; I had the Noelle Tune complete at Autoscope.

In fairness, I have not driven the car yet (left it while on vacation), but I am told it is a monster.

PS - no changes to the exhaust, just straight tune.

Good perspective, thanks. I'd prefer about 1 inch less wheel gap...something more akin to the X3m. Not sure why the X5m carries so much more clearance.

They have some offroad mode in x5m also or not?

I have seen some chinese offroad tests with x5m. Maybe thats the reason?

Good comparison; the M absolutely needs to be dropped at least 1 inch.

They are.
I have been pushing them to get it developed ASAP.
I will share the good news once they are available for ordering.
I have a great success on F97/F98 X3M/X4M platform and installed a few in 2/3/4/5 series platform. Even the M8.

More like at least 2.5 inch drop and may need more. That gap is ridiculous
