What mode are you in? Sport/ Sport Plus?

If you are using Sport Individual maybe the "engine" setting got reverted? A lot of people mentioned this only happening on the EU cars but no change in the USA models.

If you turned off ASD with bimmercode etc it will revert it back to active after the update. That could be the culprit, happened to mine and I thought the same but plugged in bimmercode and saw ASD was active again.

Pretty sure this is only a EU thing due to noise regulations etc. highly unlikely this is gonna be the case in the US

Hey man I have an m performance exhaust and I just got the update 2 days ago. There is a definite difference, I have a 2019 m340xi built in Munich.

Tramission is slightly tighter and smoother, but the low rumble and crackle is quiter and the burbles on low rpm taps are now a quiter shorter little brrp sound.

I am personally disappointed with the change... I thought it was perfect.

Still sounds really good in sports+ at shifting any direction at higher rpms. But I liked the low end sounds a lot.

Those engine updates are terrible one day will start to cut horses power. I will stay with mine 7/2019 and not make updates.

I'm on a newer software version (03/2020.58) with MPE as well. I don't notice any difference and there's tons of burbles and pops even in regular sport. Mine sounds the same as all the previous videos posting including yours.

The March update has been out for awhile and nobody else has mentioned anything like this yet. Would be super disappointed if this hold any weight

My car came with 11/2019.34 and received 11/2019.70 OTA last week. No noticeable difference in power delivery or sound.

I'm sorry to say it did change, there were a few changes. I think some people are just not are detailed with how they drive and how the car sounds.

Change Include
-change in sport individual transmission in sport to hold about 500 rpms higher.
- less low end burbles and pops when revving only to about 3k in ANY mode.
- noticeable replacement should is a shorter prrt sound instead of 2-3 seconds of burbles.
- a few other small change.

Update 11/2019/70

I hope the next update with Android auto doesn't mess up anything else, I really want Android auto though.
