FCP Euro N20/N26 timing chain replacement DIY

Funny enough the startup noise at 0:55 is what they're claiming is failure, when on my car I was told this was normal by the stealership two separate times by the shop foreman.

I have a build date of 06/15 so of course I have no coverage.

Good I for here about an extended warranty if your car meets the standards. My car does so I will use this in the future. I was one of the lucky ones that got mine replaced under warranty.

I just finished part 2 and added it to the thread. All I can say is good to see an engine with a new chain still sounds like ass on startup.

I recently got my timing chain replacement covered under warranty too. I went in for an unrelated fix, and I told the SA in passing the timing chain sounded "louder than usual" and he hooked it up and covered me no questions asked. I am also under 7 years and 70k miles.

Very very glad I didn't have to go through this ugh. How many hours?

Yeah I wish I had coverage. I believe the cut off is 03/15 and my build date is 06/15

My bro-inlaw just put a deposit on one today sulev prod. 4/13 with 49k on it originated from NY now in MI. I'm assuming since we're not a state in the chart we might get hosed on this if/when there's an issue.

Timing chain extended warranty has NOTHING to do with sulev warranty, they are two seperate things.

I was just referencing to the one chart in the video where key market areas where the sulev is targeted to how those states ie. ny,Cali and such where extending 15 years 150k vs seeming as other states weren't offering that but 7 year/70k. So that has me little confused. Since posting this also been reading the very lengthy thread about the class action, still not through the entire thread yet.
