BMW M2 CS carbon parts pricing

Guys, I found out the dealer pricing for the M2 CS standard carbon parts:
  • Carbon front spoiler (1.900,83 EUR)
  • Carbon bonnet (5.247,93 EUR)
  • Carbon rear spoiler (563,64 EUR)
All prices exclude 21% VAT. You can only order these parts if you have a CS VIN number.

Yeah it's been posted before for US as well.
No CS VIN requirement from what I've seen. Several folks have pre-ordered the rear spoiler.

Via the dealer you have to use a M2 CS VIN number, but maybe via another online shop it might be easier to get it without!

If your dealer orders it without, you are lucky.

Yea, so USA dealers make roughly $1800 profit on a carbon hood, if that's the price they buy them for.

The M2 CS chassis is the same as the Competition, so yes, it's interchangeable.

Go for it

The bootlid (trunk) and bonnet (hood) is the same for F20 F22 F87!

The genuine M Performance rear spoiler for the F22 will fit the F87. The M2CS Bonnet fits a regular F22 and F20 and vice versa

Actually, you're right that the M2 CS hood would fit the F22/87 but in reverse, the Competition and CS can't fit the standard F22/87 hood because the Competition hood is angled slightly different, to accommodate the top mounted intercooler.

Hi Poochie, you do excellent research as always! however I'm afraid you are again misinformed.

M2 Bonnet - 41 00 7373899
135i/M235i Bonnet - 41 00 7290942 (F20/F22)
M2C Bonnet - 41 00 8073538

Different part numbers does not necessarily mean they do not fit!

If you are ever in doubt and want to know what I use at BMW, BMW use ETK, it is a much more in dept version of realoem and allows dealers to narrow in the correct part number with all relevant options or equipment that the car may be equipped with.

Here is an online version for you to play around on, interpreting some stuff may be a little hard as you need to learn or be trained but I'm sure you'll pick it up.

https://etkbmw.cc/en

Enjoy and hope that helps!

There was a thread that confirm that the M2 & M2C hood is slightly physically different, not to mention someone independently confirmed it but ok.

Just a little FYI for those that assume they are interchangeable.

Cool, thanks, I'm sure that info will be useful to someone.

It's supposedly not that different, design wise, it just has a small hump to accommodate the intercooler and charge pipes.

When I find the thread, I will link it to you.

Sounds good Pooch, no one is perfect so I'll happily admit the mistake if i'm wrong! It may be because the non-M variants have a insulator and the M ones don't. The variations of parts across the world are huge so it makes sense why we are instructed to order the parts that match on the VIN.

Hey, no worries, it's not a competition, it's about getting it right, not being right.

I could share so many stories about parts complication that differ by a minute detail, that I've only learned about, in passing, by being such an inquisitive nerd.

BMW parts makeup is so intricate, I recently learned that with some replacement parts, you not only have to match the part number but sometimes the revision code after it or else for something like the iDrive controller, the vehicle would require reprogrammed to sync the your software iLevel, with that part index.
