I just got my car updated with this software and omg there is so much lag, but once its over it feels to pull harder...

However what are the pros/cons from people who know better..

lag always sucks !!!
it has been reported that the new bmw v31 software fixes this lag issue.... this software just hit the states last week, so stay "tuned" (pun intended).

note that i am dying to get the v31 to replace my 29.2 which really sucks. however, v31 is so new that it´s compatibility with the current piggybacks is still not confirmed.

time will tell... and i am anxiously waiting in the wings.

Its my understanding (can't tell you from who) that there will be a fix for the lag in the first quarter of 2009. So hang tight. Also, I just had my wastegates replaced and 30.02installed and its not as good as pre 29.2 on the lowend but the mid and upper is much better than 29.2

Im not sure how much is software and how much is wastegates being replaced. But the car is now fun to drive.

As long as these programs address some of the cars with wastegate issues by doing the program update, I see no hurry for them to fix the lag because it saves them alot of money just to update the car to fix the rattel

Great. First it was V31 that should fix it, which should be out this week. Then it was V32 that got the fix which comes out in December ("the lag fix didn't make it into V31 in time for the U.S."). Now it's out to 2009. Hell, I hope I'll have sued/sold the car long before 1Q 2009 .

how do u know the above? did you have 29.2 even before u had the wastegate problem ??
