Hello,

I've been trying to connect my clean air pipe that comes before the turbo on my MST inlet pipe. It's been impossible for the clips and the whole piece to fit into the socket.

I've been noticing that the oring is a large compared to the housing. Is this normal? (Picture)

When I push down to install, certain parts of the oring bulge from underneath the hose.

Is the oring incorrect?

i'm not using the o-ring either, it ripped in half because of this. it seems to seal fine.

also fyi I put clear silicone around the other port because it pulled out when i removed the inlet for a DV+ install.

As an update to this thread, the problem was caused due to the oring being elongated. I could have replaced it, but didn't have the logistics to grab a new one.
I managed to use a couple of screw drivers to make the oring slide in and not get caught in any of the ridges. Once I did this, it fit easily.

According to BMW and MST, that oring is quite important so I didn't want to install it without it.
