CAI, headers/full exhaust upgrade, strut tower brace, tuned ECU, lighter battery, race seats, aerodynamic components, newperf clutch, race flywheel and driveline, lsd, acid dip doors and seam weld everything, remove back/passenger seats, change trunk and hood to cf parts, performance suspension, lighter wheels, better tires, bore out engine, bigger brakes, port and polish, supercharge/turbocharge w/ bigger fuel pump/injectors and better spark plugs and ignition wires and huge intercooler, short shifter, underdrive pulleys, engine swap, new gears, and/or buy a 335 or M3.

Oh and I suggest you do all of those as it would be sick to see the pics of it, the 1/4 times it posts, and the track times it posts!

Try out the Injen intake first, most people seem to be enjoying it so far with the exception of one member who I saw received an error on his dash with it installed.

Also, this'd do better if it was in the NA engine section.

Best advice ever. Go through your local CCA chapter as BMW's Performance Driving School is pretty expensive. Expensive enough that a performance part of the same cost as the class would still probably still net you faster times with some practice.

why dont you just do all that to 335?

and have the fastest 335 out there.

..thats what im gonna do. i just searched port and polish to see if anyone has done it.

you can easily get 500+ to the wheels with those mods.

JB3 - 450 - 500
catless dp - 350 - 450
midpipe, secondary cat delete - 300
intake - 100 - 150
scoops - 50 - 80
forge DV- 200 - 350
FMIC - 900 - 1000
exhaust - 500 - 1000
catchcan - 50
oil cooler - kayf
methanol kit - 350
short shift - 300
stage 2 - 650
BOV - 450 - 500

then add LSD, strip your shit out, and get all lightweight mods possible.

congrats. you have the fastest 335 on this forum.

it will cost about 10k.

but you will beat a Z06. and with port n polish, and carbonfiber drive shaft, its not wrong to think about keeping with a ZR1 in your fucken 3series.

This forum is filled with yuppies spewing information without substantiating it...

It's frustrating sifting around here for hours finding out that threads are filled with useless information. Mainly in part to people who throw out information without verifying it first. I've seen two faked dyno's already in searching for E90 performance upgrades... Is this what this site is about?

I don't know how many ECU flash threads I've read that lead to a dead end, the E90 turbo/super threads that produced absolutely nothing, and several 3 Stage Intake threads with someone claiming to have completed the mod, but no proof positive or write ups.

Tough thing about these sites. Lot of great folks, a few tools. I asked the head guy at my dealer if I could do the 3-stage intake switch on my e92, he said the engine is different from the e90, the z4 and the z3. Not sure if I believe him, but that's what he told me. I keep hearing the CAI and performance exhaust are a good start. That's probably what I'll do. if BMW sold a 3-stage intake manifold upgrade for my car, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Good luck.

I bought a BMW because I wanted a BMW. Not a vette. Vettes are nice, but not my style, more expensive, and I don't just want speed. I love my car. Just always love a little more power.
