Here in sunny New Zealand and 9 days into lock down which means we are restricted to our home and can only go out for exercise or supermarket (unless you work for an essential service which I do not).

Lots of time to detail the X5 - thought I would share an engine bay tweak which is simple, quick and satisfying.

It took no more than 10 minutes to polish the strut braces to a high level of shine using Autolsol metal polish. I should have taken a before and after photo but went from flat silver like that on the AC piping to polished

I did that to mine as well. I also took spray silicon on a clean rag and went over all the rubber seals from hood, doors, and tailgate. It keeps the seals soft and flexible and reduces wind noise.
