Steering wheel noise BMW X3
Hi.
When turning at slow speeds, with the indicator turn signal on, there is a clicking noise when turning the steering wheel. Our car is an X3 M Sport 30d -bought in Nov 2019. It does not happen when the turn signal indicator is off and the wheel is being turned or when the wheel is being turned during normal driving. Has anyone else experienced this? is it normal? It doesn't happen on our other car which is a BMW 5 series. Otherwise it is a great car. Thanks for your help. |

Sounds like the self cancelling contact in the steering column. Most probably nothing to worry about. Does it happen in opposite direction? If so not a problem.

This is probably a futile question, but is there a way to make the turn signal (auto-deactivate click thing) turn the signal off at an earlier point when my steering wheel moves back toward center, but not all the way? I frequently make turns onto non-straight roads, and because the steering wheel is still a bit turned, the turn signal doesn't automatically hit the deactivate point and I need to do it manually.
