n51 Emissions Questions

So i have to do smog this year, the car is at 179k miles currently and running great no issues (knock on wood) and I have codes for P0420 and P0430 as well as a code for o2 sensor 2 signal, the P0420 and P0430 aren't active right now i'm assuming this is due to the bad signal on the o2 sensor.

Current Codes :

0029F5 DME: Catalyitic-Converter Conversion 2 Existing : No
0029F4 DME: Catalytic-Converter Conversion Existing : No
002C78 DME: Oxygen Sensor 2 after catalytic converter: Signal Existing : Yes

Will be replacing both downstream o2 sensors but i'm pretty sure the P0420 and P0430 codes will come back. I've read about o2 sensor defoulers that push the o2 sensor away from the stream so it reads lower values, but received mixed knowledge on them. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Also what o2 sensor socket size will be needed to remove the downstream sensors?
