OAD pulley for alternator

Was there made any more progress regarding retrofitting a OAD pulley for the alternator?

Kind regards,
Peter

My mistake. There are plenty of OAPs available, but I've not looked for any OADs.

Out of curiosity, why do you need/want one?

Really just to minimize the noice and vibration to the accessory system. I would like to try the fluidampr too, but with some people reporting a whole lot extra noice and vibration, I dont want to risk it without an OAD, atleast.

So this is not what you are looking for? Fluidampr and clutched pully for the alternator?

You buy the Fluidamper with the proper clutched pulley kit (335d and X5d are different).

I've seen some people complaining about added vibration when installing the fluidampr even together with the clutched pulley and I understand that its an aftermarket part that may add NVH, but that is not what I am looking for. So I thought that installing an OAD, if the fluidampr ends up adding NVH, will reduce it to stock or less than stock levels.

Would it, though? What about the other accessories; PS, AC, etc? Would they not still be subject to vibration even if the alternator has a fancy pulley?

Save your money and get a oem damper with a clutched alternator pulley. It will last you 100+k miles. If BMW had a clutched pulley we wouldn't be having these damper issues.

Exactly what I did for my 35d. I really wanted the "updated" damper but stuck to OE due to costs at the time and then just added the clutched pulley.
