So you replaced the starter because? Just trying to figure out what all happened here.

Car stalled and wouldn’t restart. Sounded like this the whole time? Sounds like the timing is off for any number of reasons.

My dad assumed it was the starter not cranking over. Still pretty new to DIY’s!
It started fine before this. After it stalled, it sounded like this. It had a misfire in cylinder 4. Could this be due to low compression? I’m going to try to do a compression test today.

I’m also going to swap the solenoids for new ones today

No offense but it sounds like you’re in over your head. These motors are notorious for cam gear failure. Based on the video I think your timing would be off. Does your car have a leaking valve cover? My first step would be check timing before checking the compression. If timing is off your compression numbers will all be off. Another check is open the oil cap and have someone crank motor and see if the intake cam is spinning. You can also pull the eccentric shaft sensor seal and look through there and get a small look at the cam gears.

Thanks for the advice! Much appreciated! I think I bit off more than I can chew too haha but still having fun and learning a lot
Yea I noticed the valve cover is leaking so I’m going to take a look under it tonight and see if there is anything off with the cams
