god help me...winter tire discrepancy

So I figured any 18 oem wheel would suffice that had a similar OD

Am I missing something?

The seller isnt confident they will fit the 2018 340 M brake setup. Says they will rub up front
I have the 19 stagger m setup. 704LA

This was in reference to

How do you all deal with this stuff?

If you have the colored calipers and not the grey like I do then a 17 will not fit over what you have but an 18 should. Find out the offset of the wheels because that could be an issue. Post the wheel specs up and someone on here should be able to help.

I have the blue calipers
I thin the seller was trying to say the 245 is too wide for the front well.

Does that make sense?

So the 18 340 needs a max width ex ex on front?

Specs are in that link above

All OEM 18" BMW wheels fit over blue m-sport and m-performance brakes.

This would be the staggered size.

Or 225x45x18 for square setup?

since OEM 437's only come in 19", i suspect they are 18" 437M replicas. 225/45/18 is an OEM tire size on BMW 18x8" wheels, so no problem there. if the replica offsets are +35ish they should fit. there's just a few aftermarket 18" wheel barrels which do not clear big brake calipers, however i believe the replicas will clear.

awesome info guys, thanks for identifying them as reps.

given they are 245 was the issue i believe.
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details...dId=1489349161

i posted up 2 diff sets of rims, sorry for the confusion.

but is it safe to assume 245 is too wide for front?
hence the sellers weariness.

i suppose as long as the 225 set fits over the caliper we good.

There is no fitment issue at all with running 245 on the front.

FYI- I'm running 245/40-18 tires on BMW stock 400M wheels over M Sport/M Performance brake calipers. 245/45-18 is another size tire that works well. Zero issues!

You can even fit a 255/35-19 on the front with several BMW wheels (that have a ET29 offset.)

Even wider tires will fit on the rear in a staggered setup with appropriate offsets.
