I remember a European member here or on Facebook mentioned there was an upgraded or stronger timing chain available. I would appreciate any details on this as I'm going to do this when I've got my engine out. Thanks.

I think that was for the N47 4-cylinder diesel motor. I haven’t heard anything regarding our M57 chains

For the N57, the latest part for the top timing chain was released on 1st march 2014. The lower timing chain latest was released on 1st march 2019, though that one may require other parts to be replaced for compatibility.
