Has the storm started by you?

We live at the top of a hill with no protection at all so we always seem to get it pretty bad, it’s whipping up already. I’ve just put the bins in the garage. Absolutely hate the wind, I don’t mind any other weather but not this

Pah !

If you were 20 miles out in the North Sea on a fishing trawler, then you'd hate the wind

How about a small fishing trawler, in a North Sea gale, and the skipper's pet tarantula has escaped its overturned tank ?

Would you jump and swim, or stay and risk a tickle from ol' hairy legs ?

Grew up on a rock in the Irish Sea.

Modern 'storms' amuse me. It's raining a little and not windy yet here. Kids football already cancelled tomorrow so this 4 pack of cider is on.

Cheers.

Certain death in the sea or a few days of discomfort from a Tarantula bite. Or just stamp on it.

Just read something disgusting about the insect world. A certain kind of wasp hunts tarantulas, waiting for the, in their lairs. It stings their underside and paralyses them. It then lays larvae on it, which then feed on the intestines of the dead tarantula.

I felt so much better for knowing that, so I thought I'd share it.

All quiet down in West Sussex so far.

My 11 year old sons football match has been called off but I'm secretly pleased to get a nice Sunday lay in instead.

Although I fancy taking him outdoor go karting again in Brighton but the wife has told me not to be so stupid with the impending bad weather.

Good point.

Reverse those cars back down the drive folks. Far away from the house you can get.

Redrow house here (you've all see the driveway a fair few times) and back in the day we had ridge tiles coming off. Even though they are pretty meaty concrete things.

About the 3rd time we asked the roofer to pin every ridge tile and bingo, not a loose tile since/
