Is the iPhone X not compatible? While on a call, the call disconnects for a few seconds and then reconnects... on and off repeatedly. Please advise. thanks!

It is compatible. Are you using CarPlay or Bluetooth with iDrive 7? Which software on your phone and software on your X5? Does it drop the call or the calls switched from the car speakers to the phone and back?

I'm using Bluetooth, iOS 13.3.1, not sure which software are in the vehicles, we have a 2020 M5c and a 2020 X5 M50. Happens in both vehicles. It doesn't drop the call, just switches back and forth from the vehicle to the handset/phone

I would check the software in both vehicles. I had problems with the same thing on 07/2019, but seems to be fine on 11/2019. If you are up to date, might need to do the handy iDrive Reset (30 second hold on power button) to see if that might fix it.

Go to Car -> Settings -> General Settings -> Remote Software Upgrade and it will show what version you have.
