I think the CSL reps...the 19" AZA Z-15s are cheaper at $676 p/set(wheelmax).. and better looking. Was just looking at them ... they're even cheaper than the ASA AR-1s.

325Baller, those rims will probably fit with no problem. I suggest you send those guys an email and verify what the center-bore is on those. BMW's have 72.5 centerbore. If you mismatch centerbores then you will have some serious vibration issues. Hope this helps.

i would say 18's if ur planning on dropping the car..20's if ur not. u will prolly need spacers if you go with the et38, cause the et10 is just way too much...

ASA's are better quality though. Not to knock the CSL's, they look great, but different technology.

325 Baller, Let me try and explain this to you. The 38et and the 10 et is the offsets that the wheels come in. The 38et is bassicly what the stock offset. What the offset is the distance from the center of the rim to the hub. The less you have the more the wheel will stick out. The e90's can handle a offset almost to 25et without rubbing. That why some of these guys are talking about spacers. The more the tire sticks out the more aggressive it looks. So yeh a 38et would be fine with maybe a 10mm or 12mm spacers.
Here is some info from tirerack. The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel. The offset can be one of three types. Zero Offset The hub mounting surface is even with the centerline of the wheel. Positive The hub mounting surface is toward the front or wheel side of the wheel. Positive offset wheels are generally found on front wheel drive cars and newer rear drive cars. Negative The hub mounting surface is toward the back or brake side of the wheels centerline. "Deep dish" wheels are typically a negative offset. If the offset of the wheel is not correct for the car, the handling can be adversely affected. When the width of the wheel changes, the offset also changes numerically. If the offset were to stay the same while you added width, the additional width would be split evenly between the inside and outside. For most cars, this won't work correctly. We have test fitted thousands of different vehicles for proper fitment. Our extensive database allows our sales staff to offer you the perfect fit for your vehicle. |

16 = the size of the rim in inches 55 = the sidewall profile. this is measured as a percentage of the first number. So, on the standard rims, the sidewall's profile is 55% of the width (205). Obviously you want lower profile tires, so the last number needs to be lower. If you go to tirerack.com and punch in your car info, and then click on 'wheels.' It will pretty much walk you through the entire process. Just find some rims that are similar to the one's you want (ie 19x9 and 19x10). 'Add them to the cart and shop for tires' them on the car and then you can have the site recomend proper tires. If price is important to you.... Go with Kuhmo tires. They are really good for the money. |
